Notice ยท 5 March 2026
We would like to share an important update with customers of the Marshall SMART Repair Centre in Cambridge. Following a review of how we deliver our paint, panel and cosmetic repair services across the region, we have taken the decision to consolidate this specialist SMART (Small to Medium Area Repair Technology) work into our wider bodyshop and repair network. The dedicated Cambridge SMART Repair Centre will cease to operate as a standalone facility from Friday 27 March 2026.
SMART repair is the technique we use to put right minor scuffs, scratches, bumper scrapes, alloy wheel kerb damage and small dents quickly and cost-effectively, often without the need for a full bodyshop visit. Demand for these repairs remains strong, and this change is about delivering them more efficiently rather than withdrawing the service. We want to reassure customers that the skilled technicians and the high standards of workmanship they associate with the centre will continue within our existing operations.
For customers who already have a repair booked, there is no need to take any action. Every confirmed appointment scheduled up to and including 27 March 2026 will be honoured at the Cambridge site exactly as planned. If your booking falls after that date, a member of our team will contact you directly to arrange a convenient alternative at the nearest participating Marshall location, at no additional cost and with no change to the quotation you have already been given.
What this means for customers
From 30 March 2026, new SMART repair enquiries and bookings for the Cambridge area will be handled through our central customer team, who will direct you to the most appropriate nearby facility. Any vehicles left with us for repair, together with associated keys, courtesy arrangements and warranty documentation, will be managed by the same staff you have dealt with previously, so there will be continuity of service throughout.
- All confirmed bookings up to 27 March 2026 will be completed as normal in Cambridge.
- Customers with later appointments will be contacted to rebook at a nearby Marshall site at no extra cost.
- Existing quotations, warranties and any guarantees on completed work remain fully valid.
- New enquiries from 30 March 2026 should be made via our contact team, who will arrange the right location for you.
We understand that any change to a service you rely on can raise questions, and we are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible. Our priority is that no customer is left without the support they need, whether that is checking on the status of a current repair, transferring a booking, or simply confirming where to take a vehicle for future work. If you are unsure how this update affects you, please do get in touch and we will be happy to explain your options.
We would like to thank everyone who has trusted the Marshall SMART Repair Centre in Cambridge over the years. We remain dedicated to keeping your vehicle looking its best, and we look forward to continuing to serve the local community through our wider repair and aftersales network for many years to come.
